Corvette retains its crews

Corvette has confirmed its crews for the 2019 season of theIMSA. The American manufacturer did not create any surprises since it retained for the 8th consecutive year its drivers who will be entered on its two C7Rs.

The reigning double champions of the GTLM category Jan Magnussen and Antonio Garcia will team up again. In addition to their two titles, they notably won the category victory at the 24 2015 Hours of Daytona and two successes at the 12 Hours of Sebring.

“I couldn’t dream of a better program with Corvette Racing. It's like my second family with whom we have achieved magnificent successes, comments the four-time IMSA champion whose son Kevin competes in F1 with Haas. Antonio is the best teammate I could have had. We're both competitive and we push each other to be better, he's the type of person you want to share the car with. We will aim with Corvette Racing for new titles and new victories, starting at Daytona. »

The second Corvette C7R will once again be entrusted to Tommy Milner and Oliver Gavin. Like the first team, they won two crowns and collected 13 successes including the category victory at Daytona 2016, two successes at Sebring and a category success at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2015.

Mike Rockenfeller and Marcel Fässler will once again strengthen the line-ups at the 24 Hours of Daytona (January 26-27) and the 12 Hours of Sebring (March 15-16).
