Daytona-H6: The Bourdais-Duval-Vautier trio leads the way

Led by a 100% French trio, the No. 5 Cadillac occupies the leader's chair after the first quarter of the race has passed. Sebastian Bourdais – who took over Loïc duval and Tristan Vautier – currently has around ten seconds ahead of another DPi-VR, namely the n°01 of Chip Ganassi Racing entrusted to Scott Dixon-Kevin Magnussen-Renger van der Zande.

In third place, we find the No. 10 Acura from Wayne Taylor Racing of Albuquerque-Taylor-Red-Castroneves. Registered at the wheel of the second ARX-05, the No. 60 of Meyer Shank Racing, the Cameron-Pla-Montoya-Allmendinger quartet is one lap behind, the fault of capricious power steering. As for the No. 31 Cadillac, it must work hard to catch up with Chase Elliott who was not in the game.

In GTLM, Corvette unsurprisingly dominates the debates. The No. 8 C4.R of Tandy-Milner-Sims is a breath ahead of its sister car, while the No. 8 BMW M25 GTE is about ten seconds behind. Hit even before the start by the #8 BMW M25 GTE, the Porsche WeatherTech Racing's 911 RSR-19 is 12 laps behind the class leaders.

In LM P2, all the Oreca 07s entrusted to the French have a time in the lead. But as we write these lines, it is the #11 of Thomas-Nunez-Merrill-Bell (WIN Autosport) which is in the lead ahead of the #82 of DragonSpeed (Mies-Lux-DeFrancesco-Schiller) and the n°8 of Aubry-Farano-Buret-Vaxiviere (Tower Motorsport). Very well off, n°52 of Stone-Jensen-Keating-Huffaker (PR1/Mathiasen) has already conceded eight laps to the best LM P2 due to a faulty injector.

In LM P3, Yann Clairay still has every chance. The #320 Ligier JS P33 of Sean Creech Motorsports is second in its class behind the #74 of Robinson-Andrews-Askew-Pigot (Riley Motorsports).

Finally, in GTD, the No. 911 Porsche 3 GT16 R of Bachler-Hindman-Long-Heylen precedes the No. 3 Lamborghini Huracan GT1 of Seller-Snow-Lewis-Caldarelli and theAston Martin Vantage GT3 n°23 of James-De Angelis-Turner-Gunn.
