Derani places ESM on pole at Petit Le Mans

Luis Felipe Derani took the No. 22 Nissan DPi from the ESM team to pole at Petit Le Mans, beating the Mazda DPi of Team Joest by a tenth.

Derani places ESM on pole at Petit Le Mans

It was ESM who won the pole at Petit Le Mans. On the Road Atlanta circuit (Georgia), Luis Felipe Derani completed a lap in 1'10''437 at the wheel of the No. 22 Nissan DPi which preceded the Mazda DPi driven by Oliver Jarvis and Jonathan Bomarito by a tenth. .

Extreme Speed Motorsports achieved a good overall result as the second Nissan DPi driven by Norman Nato took 4th position ahead of the No. 7 Team Penske Acura DPi driven by Rickya Taylor, while Filipe Albuquerque placed the first Cadillac DPI of 'Action Express Racing in 5th place. JDC Miller-Motorsports placed the first Oreca 07 LMP2 in 6th position with Simon Trummer.

Eb GTLM, la pole est revenue à John Edwards auteur d’un tour en 1’17’’006 au volant de la BMW M8 GTE n°24 et qui a devancé la Corvette C7R n°3 d’Antonio Garcia pour seulement 2 centièmes. Earl Bamber a hissé la première Porsche 911 RSR à la 3e place de la catégorie devant la Ford GT n)67 de Richard Westbrook. Daniel Serra s’est offert la pole en GTD sur la Ferrari 488 n°63 de la Team Corsa.
