DragonSpeed ​​enters IMSA year-round

These are indeed three Oreca 07s that DragonSpeed ​​will operate next year. One of them will be aligned in ELMS and the other two over the entireIMSA SportsCar Championship, in the United States.

And for good reason, in accordance with what we announced to you at the beginning of the month (see Ah n°2241) DragonSpeed ​​will enter an 07 in its own name, in addition to the one it will cover on behalf of Era Motorsport, an entity seen in particular in historic race.

« Le change to the rules governing LM P2 and the calendar make the series as attractive as the ELMS for gentlemen drivers » said director Elton Julian.

« We had initially decided to add the four Michelin events to my European program Endurance cup, added Henrik Hedman, creditor and driver, who will share the wheel with his faithful sidekick Ben Hanley. But IMSA now requires that there be a bronze driver per crew in LM P2. Competing the entire season gave me the opportunity to race again on my favorite circuits like Road America and Laguna Seca, an opportunity that I could not pass up. »

In addition to ELMS and IMSA, DragonSpeed ​​hopes to appear at the start of 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 13-14, 2020) for the fourth time in its history.
