Global Motorsports Group arrives in USCC

Team Global Motorsports Group has submitted a request to compete in the first season of the USCC which will bring together the ALMS and Grand-Am. It is the fourth team to choose the Audi R8 LMS ultra after Flying Lizard Motorsports, Paul Miller Racing and Fall-Line Motorsports. The Californian team finished runner-up in the Pirelli World Challenge this year behind Cadillac Racing.

The GMG announced the presence of pilot boss James Sofronas and his compatriot Alex Welch to form the crew. The former finished in second place in the Pirelli World Challenge at the wheel of an Audi R8 behind champion Johnny O'Connell and already has several years of experience in the discipline. The second has already defended the colors for several seasons, notably in the GTC category of the ALMS.
