Grand-Am – Bourdais returns to Starworks for Watkins Glen

Sébastien Bourdais take advantage of the truce IndyCar to compete in the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen held this weekend as part of the Grand-Am. The four-time Champ Car champion will join the Scot Ryan Dalziel and the Venezuelan Alex Popow on the No. 2 Starworks Motorsport Riley-Ford which took the last step of the podium last year, while the Sarthois competed with Dalziel and Potolicchio. “I thank Alex and Ryan. I am very happy to return to Watkins Glen following the performances obtained last year. Being with Alex and Ryan makes the weekend even better. My season hasn't been great so far and it would be great if things finally worked out. Winning this event would be a great reward. »

Starworks Motorsports will also benefit from the talent of Pierre Kaffer who will join Brendon Hartley and Scott Mayer on the sister car, decked out with the No. 8. The German, fourth 24 Hours of Le Mans in LM P2 with PeCom following the disqualification from G-Drive Racing, is very happy to be offered the opportunity to defend the colors of Peter Baron's team for the first time in his career. “It’s fantastic to be able to drive for Starworks Motorsports for the first time. I've driven at Watkins Glen several years ago in a GT, but this will be my first time behind the wheel of a DP. I'm already comfortable in the cockpit and I'm looking forward to racing alongside Brendon and Scott this weekend. »
