Grand-Am – Wayne Taylor Racing wins at Barber

Wayne Taylor Racing took its first victory of the season at the third round of the Grand-Am calendar held at Barber Motorsports Park. The No. 10 Corvette DP of Max Angelli and Jordan Taylor crossed the line in first place, giving Jordan Taylor his first victory in the premier class after winning twice in GT. The Italian resisted pressure in the last 33 laps from Alex Gurnay, driver of the No. 99 Bob Stallings Racing Corvette DP, who lost second place with Jon Fogarty who had taken pole. “My race was easy because I just had to maintain the gap. Jordan allowed me to have an easy test because he put the car in a good position in front of the #99,” said Max Angelli after the race.

The podium is completed by the No. 90 Spirit of Daytona Rcaing Corvette DP of Ricky Taylor and Richard Westbrook while Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas place the No. 01 Chip Ganassi Racing BMW/Riley in fourth place. The No. 3 Corvette DP of Stéphane Sarrazin and Enzo Potolicchio struggled to climb into the top ten.

Robin Liddell and John Edwards took the GT class victory at the wheel of the No. 57 Stevenson Motorsports Camaro which started from pole.
