Grasser Racing Team will be present this weekend at the 24 Hours of Daytona (January 30-31) for the start of the season.IMSA. On site, Gottfried Grasser's team entered two Lamborghini Huracan GT3s in the GTD category.
The No. 111, third on the grid, was entrusted to Mirko Bortolotti, Rolf Ineichen, Steijn Schothorst and Marco Mapelli; and the No. 19, 6th after qualifying, to Misha Goikhberg, Franck Perera, Tim Zimmermann and Albert Costa.
For the rest of the season, GRT will continue its full commitment to IMSA but with the No. 19 only (Misha Goikhberg and Franck Perera). However, the entry of a second car is a possibility, with the No. 111 participating in all four IMSA endurance rounds.
GT World Challenge Europe side Endurance Cup, Grasser Racing Team will be present with a Huracan GT3 in the Silver Cup. Tim Zimmermann will supervise two drivers from the Lamborghini Squadra Corse junior program as confirmed by Giorgio Sanna, director of LSC, in the columns of our N°2288.
« The objective is for GRT to enter a silver car full-time with juniors and possibly a pro at the 24 Hours of Spa ».
The Austrian team will also enter four cars in ADAC GT Masters this season. THE DTM was also studied, but the calendar clashes with IMSA do not allow the two to be combined.
