IMSA – Action Express winner at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park

The Action Express Racing Cadillac DPi driven by Dane Cameron and Eric Curran won the IMSA Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. BMW scores a double in GTLM.

IMSA – Action Express winner at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park

The Mobil1 SportsCar Grand Prix contested at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park was won by the Action Express Racing Cadillac DPi of Dane Cameron and Eric Curran after a race disrupted by rain. The event ended under yellow flag following the crash of David Ostella in the PR217/Mathiasen Motorsports Ligier JS P1.

Wayne Taylor Racing took the lead with the Cadillac DPi driven by the Taylor brothers choosing to stay on slick tires, but Jordan Taylor was the victim of contact with the No. 7 Corvette C4R of Tommy Milner just 22 minutes behind. the finish and finished 7th, two laps behind the winners.

The JDC-Miller Motorsports Oreca 07 of Goikhberg-Simpson took 2nd place, 8s behind the leading Cadillac, while the podium was completed by the No. 2 ESM Nissan DPi of Sharp-Dalziel. The top five is completed by the Mazda DPi of Nunez-Bomarito and Long-Miller.

BMW scores double in GTLM

BMW signe une seconde victoire consécutive en GTLM en signant un doublé au Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. Alexander Sims et Bill Auberlen ont décroché leur second succès d’affilée après avoir dépassé la Porsche 911 RSR en pole emmenée par Dirk Werner. La n°911 également pilotée par Patrick Pilet a finalement terminé dernière classée suite à un problème moteur, permettant à John Edwards et Martin Tomczyk de prendre la 2e place du GTLM sur la M6 GTLM n°24.

The category podium was completed by the #67 Ford GT of Ryan Briscoe and Richard Westbrook who beat the #3 Corvette of Jan Magnussen and Antonio Garcia. The Porsche of Laurens Vanthoor and Gianmaria Bruni finished 6th behind the No. 66 Ford GT of Dirk Müller and Joey Hand.

Performance Tech Motorsports continues its series of PC victories with the No. 38 of O'Ward-French, which was nevertheless the victim of contact with tire debris. Lawson Aschenbach and Andrew Davis won the GTD in the Stevenson Motorsports Audi R8 LMS.
