IMSA – Cadillac and Corvette continue in Long Beach

Three races in 2017, three victories, but also a third consecutive success at Long Beach, the weekend of Wayne TaylorRacing once again concluded in the best way in California.

The brothers' duo Jordan and Ricky Taylor waited until the last moments of the race to take control of the event, thanks to an overtaking of Jordan Taylor on the Ligier-Nissan DPi of Tequila Patron ESM of Ryan Dalziel, associated with Scott Sharp, and leader after having perfectly used strategy in the pits.

But the traffic played a bad trick on the leading DPi, allowing Jordan Taylor to take advantage of the laggards to take first place five minutes from the end. Mazda completes the podium with the Bomarito – Nunez RT24-P.

Opportunistic Milner and Gavin

In GTLM, the race was decided on the last lap, at the hairpin of the Californian circuit. If the No. 7 Corvette C4.R of Magnussen – Garcia seemed to be on his way to victory, but an incident involving several cars caused a severe slowdown forcing the following cars to stop.

Milner's No. 3 sister car – Gavin a finalement réussi à s’infiltrer et foncer vers la victoire, suivie par la Ford GT n°67 de Westbrook – Briscoe et la première Porsche 911 RSR n°912 de Estre – Vanthoor.

La Mercedes-AMG GT3 n°50 from WeatherTech Racing of MacNeil – Jeannette wins in GTD ahead of the sister car of Bleekemolen – Keating and the Ferrari 488 GT3 of Team Corsa of the Balzan – Nielsen duo.
