IMSA – Corvette Racing continues for 2017

By winning at Daytona and Sebring in Florida at the start of the season with the duo Tommy Milner – Oliver Gavin, Corvette Racing launched its 2016 season in the championship perfectly. IMSA, before signing his 100th victory at Lime Rock in July.

Still leader of both Drivers and Manufacturers rankings after Lone Star Le Mans last weekend in Austin, Texas, the Corvette clan is in a favorable position to win a title that has eluded the brand since the establishment of the IMSA series in 2014.

CARhebdo was able to speak with Doug Fehan, manager of Corvette Racing, on the sidelines of the Texan event, in order to discuss the future of the team. “We will keep the same car and the same program, namely IMSA and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, if we receive invitations from the ACO, comments Fehan.

As for the drivers, we're going to keep our duos (Jan Magnussen-Antonio Garcia and Oliver Gavin-Tommy Milner). We are banking on continuity, with some of our pilots defending our interests for a good ten years. »
