IMSA – Ford confirms its GT crews for the 2018 season

Continuity is the key word of the Chip Ganassi Racing team for the 2018 season.Imsa in the GTLM category. Two Ford GTs will be entered in the 24 Hours of Daytona next January (United States, January 27-28). The duo of drivers who will take turns during the twelve rounds planned on the calendar.

 

Number 66 will be entrusted like the previous season to Dirk Müller et Joey hand. The German-American pair concluded the 2017 financial year in 3rd place in the Grand Touring category, including four class successes, including Daytona.

The sister car will be driven by a Chip Ganassi Racing regular, in the person of Ryan briscoe (eight Indy Car victories in the 2000s and 2010s), accompanied by the former FIA GT2 champion and Porsche Supercup Richard Westbrook. The American manufacturer will aim to beat enemy brother Corvette in the brand rankings, having suffered two defeats in a row since their return to competition at the start of 2016.
