IMSA – Gianmaria Bruni places Porsche on pole at Lime Rock Park

Nouvelle recrue de Porsche GT Team cette saison, Gianna Bruni stood out last night during qualifying for the Lime Rock Park event in IMSA Sportscar Championship. Reserved for GTLM and GTD, this meeting allowed the former driver Ferrari to offer the 450th pole to the German brand in the United States.

Author of a lap in 50″404, Bruni, associated with Laurens Vanthoor in the No. 911 Porsche 912 RSR, precedes the No. 67 Ford GT – Chip Ganassi Racing of Westbrook-Briscoe by 136 thousandths, while the second 911 RSR n°911 by Werner – Pilet climbs into third position at 0″202.

The first BMW M6 GTLM – Team RLL of Edwards – Tomczyk follows at 0″277 ahead of the first No. 7 Corvette C4.R of Gavin – Milner. Five tenths separate the entire peloton from the GTLM.

In the GTD category, it is Lamborghini with the No. 3 Huracan GT48 – Paul Miller Racing of Sellers – Snow which will start this Saturday in pole position, thanks to a best lap completed in 52″508. The two Porsche 911 GT3 R n°54 – CORE Autosport of Bennett – Braun and n°28 – Alegra Motorsports of Long – Morad complete the leading trio.

Tristan Vautier and Kenny Habul (Mercedes-AMG GT3 n°75 – SunEnergy1 Racing) took 15th place in GTD.
