IMSA – The Mercedes-AMG GT3 will be there in 2017

Present in particular on the various events in Blancpain GT Series, the latest addition to Mercedes shone this season in the races organized by SRO Motorsports, notably allowing HTP Motorsport to win the Drivers and Teams titles in the Sprint Cup.

The one which will be one of the attractions of the next FIA GT World Cup in Macau (November 18-20) will make its debut in the GTD category in IMSA Sportscar Championship in the United States in 2017 with the help of WeatherTech Racing, Riley Motorsports and SunEnergy1 Racing.

The first flanked by the No. 50 will be entrusted to the pair Cooper MacNeil – Gunnar Jeannette, while Jeroen Bleekemolen and Ben Keating will move from the Viper to the Mercedes. Kenny Habul, driver-owner of SunEnergy1 Racing, will lead the third program, but other teams could confirm a commitment with the AMG GT3.
