IMSA – MSR wins at Laguna Seca

Ozz Negri Jr and John Pew won the Monterey Grand Prix held at Laguna Seca (California). The Michael Shank Racing crew took the lead at the end of the first stop at the wheel of the Ligier JS P2 which finished half a minute ahead of the Visitflorida.com Corvette DP from Dalzil-Goossens.

Dane Cameron almost snatched second place, but the Action Express Racing driver ultimately lost by eight tenths.

Mazda was unsuccessful. After dominating practice and qualifying, Bomarito-Nunez's #55 fell short of the podium while Long-Miller's sister car retired due to a mechanical problem.

The new Ford GT scored its first success with Richard Westbrook and Ryan Briscoe who beat the Ferrari 488 GTE by a dozen seconds. Team Corsa confiée à Serra-Pier Guidi. Porsche a complété le podium avec la 911 RSR de Makowiecki-Bamber.
