IMSA – New trio at Rebellion in Petit Le Mans

Engaged in WEC, Rebellion Racing is also lining up this year at the start of the three great classics appearing on the calendar of theIMSA SportsCar Championship, namely the 24 Hours of Daytona, the 12 Hours of Sebring and Petit Le Mans.

Sébastien Buemi and Neel Jani, requisitioned during the two Florida events, being retained by Formula tests e, the two Swiss will not be able to take part in Petit Le Mans, on October 7, on the Road Atlanta circuit (Georgia). But the Swiss team has already solved the problem.

« All our pilots operating in Formula e are busy with the collective testing session organized the same weekend, confided team principal Alexandre Pesci in an interview with AUTOhebdo (see Ah n°2132). We therefore had to put together a unique crew combining Nick Heidfeld with Mathias Beche and Gustavo Menezes. »

Heidfeld, although under Mahindra contract, should therefore skip Formula testing e. As for the American Menezes, he will make his first outing under the colors of Rebellion Racing.
