IMSA – WTR retains its trophy in Long Beach

Ricky Taylor only needed to overtake the No. 5 of Action Express Racing led by Christian Fittipaldi at the start of the event in Long Beach (California) lasting 1h40 to hoist the No. 10 of the Wayne Taylor Racing in the lead and winning for the second year in a row. This is the first success of the season for the Taylor brothers.

The podium is completed by the second Corvette DP from Action Express Racing entrusted to Dane Cameron and Eric Curran. The Mazda Prototypes of Tom Long-Joel Miller and Jonathan Bomarito-Tristan Nunez rounded out the top five.

The Frenchman was penalized for his contact but the latter retired while the American took second place in the category ahead of the Ferrari 488 GTE from Risi Competizione led by Giancarlo Fisichella and Toni Vilander.

Misha Goikhberg and Stephen Simpson dominated the LMPC class behind the wheel of the No. 85 JDC Miller Motorsports car.
