Jules Caranta is competing with Duqueine in Austin in the IMSA VP Racing Challenge

Just a few weeks ago, Jules Caranta embarked on his new adventure. From Eurocup-3 to Michelin Le Mans Cup, the French driver has embarked on Endurance, with the firm intention of climbing the ranks and discovering the different doors opening up to him in this context. "The goal is the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The next step, ideally, is LMP2." he told us at the time of the announcement. There are many opportunities in Endurance racing. WEC Certainly, but also theELMS IMSAThere are many championships, which is why that's the choice I made.

On the weekend of May 8-10, Jules Caranta will be experimenting and broadening his horizons. Fresh from the Michelin Le Mans Cup round at Le Castellet last weekend, he will be making his debut in the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge. Representing the Duqueine by Debard Academy in the United States, the driver from Saint-Tropez will be racing at the Circuit of the Americas near Austin, Texas. His ELMS team – Nielsen Racing – also runs Duqueine cars, creating a natural connection between the two French drivers. Specifically, the Duqueine car used this weekend will be run by the Forbush Performance team and will be different from the one used in Europe. Matt Forbush, the team owner, will be partnering with Jules Caranta in his own LMP3.

For the latter, the primary objective is to allow the French manufacturer to showcase itself on the international stage, particularly across the Atlantic. On a personal level, Jules Caranta is developing his relationship with Duqueine, as he plans to move up a division after this first season in the LMP3 category. Furthermore, should he achieve a good result in Austin, the driver from Saint-Tropez might consider a full commitment to the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge. In short, the driver who joined endurance racing with the aim of gaining more challenges is already embarking on a new adventure. Having finished ninth in the LMP3 category at Le Castellet, will the Frenchman manage to do even better in the United States?
