Katherine Legge gets her ride in the DeltaWing

The test proved conclusive. After two days of testing at Road Atlanta aboard the Deltawing, Katherine Legge has just been officially confirmed to take part in the ALMS race at Laguna Seca, in Monterey, California, on May 11. First woman to win races in Formula Atlantic, winning three times in 2005, before racing in Champcar, in Indycar then in DTM, she will team up with Andy Meyrick to form a 100% British crew.

“It was really very exciting to discover this car”, declared the Briton. ?Having driven a lot of different race cars, I didn?t know what to expect, and I was pleasantly surprised. It brakes very well, it turns positively and I was very fast on the straight, it drives like a good racing car. It was very stable, and I was also impressed with the way it handled. It went really well” concludes the pilot. Katherine Legge replaces Olivier Pla, who drove the Deltawing during the 12 Hours of Sebring, and who is entered in WEC avec Oak Racing et Porsche in GT.
