IMSA changes its 2020 calendar

The global coronavirus pandemic is forcing organizers of theIMSA to review their projects. The calendar for the 2020 season has thus been modified with several events postponed.

The Mid-Ohio Grand Prix scheduled for the weekend of May 3 has been moved to September 25-27.

The race scheduled at the Laguna Seca circuit in Monterey (California) has been moved forward one week and will now be scheduled for the weekend of September 6. This adjustment was made to allow competitors to participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans postponed to September 19 and 20.

In order to harmonize the calendar, the 23rd edition of Petit Le Mans contested at Road Atlanta (Georgia) will be moved back one week and will take place on the weekend of October 17.

These fixes are in addition to postponement of the 12 Hours of Sebring (Florida) which was postponed to the weekend of November 14.
