IMSA has unveiled its calendar for the 2020 season with a series of events identical to recent years.

IMSA presents its 2020 calendar

No big surprises for the 2020 seasonIMSA since the calendar will be almost identical to that of recent years. Competitors will compete in a dozen races with the curtain-raisers being the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring. Only a few dates will change for a similar schedule for the third season in a row.

The LMP2s will only be hosted in 6 events since they will no longer be invited to the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. In addition, these prototypes will not be able to score points at Daytona, except in Michelin. Endurance Cup

“We have already said it several times in recent years, but having these 12 events with the promoters, the sponsors… is a strength for IMSA, explains the president of the American championship Scott Atherton. There will be no big news for the 2020 calendar, but it highlights these races and the stability of the championship. »
