The Highcroft Challenge at Petit Le Mans

Scott Sharp, victim of a violent track during Petit's second free practice session Le Mans, emerged unscathed from his accident. Conversely, his Acura LMP1 was totally destroyed (watch the video of the crash).

The Highcroft Racing Boss then took on an incredible challenge. After ordering a shell from the Californian factory, the team managed to completely rebuild the car in less than 24 hours, allowing the drivers to start the race. A video of the reconstruction of the car thus shows the work carried out by the team on the car by David Brabham, Scott Sharp and Dario Franchitti. The No. 9 Acura finally finished the race in sixth place, behind the Oreca 01 AIM.
