USCC event format for 2014

Sportscar365.com has revealed the USCC season one event format. The durations vary greatly depending on the races, with some not even exceeding two hours. Events not counting for the NAEC (which includes the 24 Hours of Daytona, the 12 Hours of Sebring, the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen and the 1000 Miles of Road Atlanta) will last 2 hours 45 minutes, but several exceptions should be taken into account. account. The Long Beach event (April 13) contested only by Prototypes and GTs Le Mans and the Detroit race (May 31) reserved for Prototypes and GT Daytona will be limited to 1h40. Two two-hour races will be organized at Laguna Seca (May 3 and 4), one for the Le Mans Prototypes and GTs and the second for the Challenge Prototypes and Daytona GTs. Finally, the race organized at Virginia Raceway (August 23-24) will be reserved for the two GT categories with two 45-minute events for the PCs. The Kansas round (June 6-7) contested only by the PCs will offer the same format.

Furthermore, each crew may consist of a maximum of three drivers for races of six hours or less. Four drivers per car will be allowed for the 12 Hours of Sebring (March 15) and five for the 24 Hours of Daytona (January 25 and 26). Only one Gold or Platinum driver will be accepted in a crew of two or three competitors registered in PC or GT Daytona. However, two will be allowed at Daytona and Sebring. Le Mans Prototypes and GTs are not affected by the driver restriction. In addition, a driver may be entered in two cars. Driving times will be adapted to the length of the events.
