The start of the fiscal year has been kind to German manufacturers. Porsche BMW secured the overall victory in Grand Touring Prototype (GTP), notably with the participation of Frenchman Julien Andlauer. BMW, for its part, triumphed in Grand Touring Daytona Pro (GTD PRO), while Mercedes Benz-AMG distinguished itself in Grand Touring Daytona (GTD).
Having already secured a one-two finish in GTP and GTD PRO last year at Sebring, Porsche will be aiming for another double victory. In GTD, Winward Racing, meanwhile, is aiming for a third consecutive win at the Florida circuit with its No. 57 Mercedes-AMG GT3.
The grid will feature 55 cars divided into four categories: 11 GTP, 12 LMP2, 13 GTD PRO and 19 GTD. Several adjustments are to be noted compared to the opening race held at Daytona.

Among the new developments, Pfaff Motorsports is preparing to launch the Lamborghini Temerario GT3 in international competition. The regular driver pairing of Andrea Caldarelli and Sandy Mitchell will be joined by Frenchman Franck Perera in the No. 9 car.
JDC-Miller MotorSports also arrives with some updates. Its GTP prototype, a Porsche 963 usually entered under the number 85, will now carry the number 5, with no change in driver lineup (Tijmen van der Helm, Nico Pino, and Kaylen Frederick). The team will also field its number 79 Oreca 07 in LMP2, driven by Gerry Kraut, Josh Burdon, and Sennan Fielding.
The three Porsche 963s in the GTP category will each have a special livery: JDC will thus race with a design paying tribute to the victory of Tristan Vautier, Sébastien Bourdais et Loïc duval in 2021, while the official cars will be running with a design celebrating 30 years of its partnership with Mobil1.
Tristan Vautier, in fact, replaces Sébastien Bourdais at Tower Motorsport in LMP2 starting this weekend.
