IMSA launches its web series: “Win the Weekend”

Since the hit Netflix series dedicated to Formula 1, “Drive to Survive”, having your own version has almost become an obligation. We no longer count the variations of the genre, including outside of motorsport, and after the “ WEC Full Access” devoted to the World ChampionshipEndurance of the FIA, it is theIMSA who launches his own on his official YouTube channel.

“Win the Weekend” is thus presented as a documentary in eight parts. The first episode is already available below and the others will be broadcast throughout the season. Produced by the automotive design agency Tangent Vector and with the support of Michelin, this first episode offers a unique perspective of everything that has been done to get the new GTPs ready for their big debut at the 24 2023 Hours of Daytona (28 -January 29).

Episode 2 will air on February 13 and will look back at the Florida double clock. Future episodes will follow the teams and drivers through the remainder of this exercise.

« This documentary series gives fans unprecedented access to the inner workings of how GTP teams and manufacturers have devoted countless hours to the development of this highly anticipated new championship prototype class, said David Pettit, IMSA vice president of marketing. Through “Win the Weekend,” IMSA will reach new audiences interested in these cutting-edge race cars – and IMSA in general – throughout the 2023 season. All of us at IMSA would like to thank our partner Michelin for its support of this project. »

« As an IMSA sponsor, Michelin sees a big opportunity with “Win the Weekend”, explains Katelyn Berry, vice president of marketing for Michelin North America, Inc. Our research shows that there is strong potential for growth in the IMSA fan base when people are exposed to the championship. With so many iconic automotive brands, multiple racing categories over the weekend, and true track-to-road innovations that include Michelin tires, IMSA has so much to offer. Telling the story through this documentary will help open the door to new people while allowing current fans to feel a stronger connection to their favorite teams and drivers. »
