Maxime Martin: “My schedule will be particularly busy”

After a season where he rode very little for the Gaydon firm, Maxime Martin is returning to a much more intense program this year. He will have a Vantage AMR GT3 in endurance and sprint in IMSA.

Maxime Martin: “My schedule will be particularly busy”

L’an dernier, on vous a beaucoup vu rouler en Porsche, mais c’est pourtant avec Aston Martin that you are leaving again?

Indeed. I received a proposal from the German manufacturer but I preferred to play the continuity card with Aston Martin.

However, we thought that Aston Martin's GT program would be put on hold...

Even if the program in WEC no longer exists, we feel a desire to fight with the other manufacturers. This will also be the case in endurance events (Daytona, Sebring, Watkins Glen and Petit Le Mans. Editor's note) where I will be lined up in a Vantage in GTD Pro, with Alex Riberas and Ross Gunn as teammates. For the sprints, I will share the wheel with Roman de Angelis, a Silver driver who I have known since the 24 2020 Hours of Spa, which I competed in with Garage 59. In any case, it is the team The Heart of Racing which will field the Aston Martin in the United States.

Will we also see you at work in Europe?

This is the goal but nothing is done. My schedule will be particularly busy. For the moment, I will concentrate on Daytona, which I will join on January 19, for the 24 Hours (January 29-30).
