Engaged for the last two years in the 24 Hours of Daytona in the No. 31 Cadillac DPi-VR – Action Express Racing, present under the Whelen Engineering banner, Mike conway will change sides of stands in 2019.
On the Florida double clock (January 26-27), Conway will join the No. 5 Cadillac operated under the name Mustang Sampling Racing, alongside João Barbosa, Filipe Albuquerque and Christian Fittipaldi.
Conway avait pris la deuxième place l’an passé avec Eric Curran, Stuart Middelton et Felipe Nasr, battus par la Cadillac n°5. Une nouvelle occasion pour Conway, pensionnaire du Toyota Gazoo Racing WEC, to pin Daytona on his list of achievements.
“I am looking forward to joining Mustang Sampling Racing and driving with João, Christian and Filipe, Conway says. It's great to have worked with them in the past and as the results have shown, the team is very competent. So I'm looking forward to going to Daytona and hopefully helping them win another trophy. »
Conway should logically be part of the Roar Before the Rolex 24 (January 4-7), a dress rehearsal before the 24 Hours of Daytona.
