If there is one driver who is still popular it is Juan Pablo Montoya. Recently confirmed at DragonSpeed in WEC for 2021 in LMP2, the former driver McLaren will also extend its North American adventure a little further.
Already present in IMSA in recent years, the Colombian will continue there but not full time. Indeed, Juan Pablo Montoya will participate in the Michelin Endurance North American Automobile Championship Cup with Meyer Shank Racing.
« I am very happy to join Meyer Shank Racing starting next year. I always saw Mike (Shank, team boss) in the circuits and we had a simple and frank discussion in order to find an agreement for next year », says the South American.
Aboard the No. 05 MSR Acura ARX-60, Juan Pablo Montoya will participate in the 24 Hours of Daytona, 12 Hours of Sebring, 6 Hours of Watkins Glen and the Petit Le Mans. Hired full-time, Olivier Pla and Dane Cameron will be his teammates. AJ Allmendinger will return for the 24 Hours of Daytona, his 15th participation with MSR.
