Nick Catsburg confirmed at Corvette Racing

As we indicated it in preview two weeks ago in our columns (see Ah n°2245), Corvette Racing has confirmed the arrival of Dutchman Nick Catsburg in its ranks for the tests Endurance en IMSA (24 Hours of Daytona, 12 Hours of Sebring and Petit Le Mans).

Catsburg, longtemps affilié à BMW Motorsport en GT et pilote BRC Hyundai en WTCR, n’est pas un total inconnu du giron Corvette, pour avoir piloté la C6.R du temps du FIA GT1 World Championship en 2011, mais surtout la C7.R lors de la Journée Test des 24 Heures du Mans en 2016 au sein de Larbre Compétition.

The winner of the 24 Hours of Spa 2015 with Team Marc VDS will support the year-round starters in the new Corvette C8.R n°3 Antonio Garcia and Jordan Taylor, the latter replacing this year the Dane Jan Magnussen.

Corvette Racing has also confirmed the return to its ranks of Marcel Fässler, who will drive the No. 8 C4.R with Tommy Milner and Oliver Gavin. All drivers will be entered in the Roar before the Rolex 24, a dress rehearsal before the 24 Hours of Daytona, which will be organized from January 3 to 5.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans are not currently included in the American brand's announcements, but recent seasons have shown that drivers in long events in the United States are very often confirmed for the double round of the clock at Sarthe.
