Nicolas Minassian backs up Era Motorsport at Daytona

Sports director of IDEC Sport, crowned in ELMS this year, Nicolas Minassian will return to the seat next January for the 24 Hours of Daytona (January 25-26), opening of theIMSA 2020. The Marseillais will drive the Oreca 07 LM P2 from the Era Motorsport team, and will strengthen a crew made up of Kyle Tilley, Dwight Merriman and Ryan Lewis.

Minassian will thus return to an event that he competed in last time in 2016 with SMP Racing and the BR01 – Nissan. “It’s a great race with a rich history and one of the best endurance events in the world, underlines the former pilot.

I have a lot of respect for the way the team works and the development of this wonderful adventure. Driving the Oreca chassis is also a pleasure, and I know this car and it is an excellent choice of the team. Kyle and Era Motorsport have put a lot of effort into this program and I am very happy to be a part of it. »

Era Motorsport was to operate in association with the DragonSpeed ​​entity but will operate LM P2 solo over six races in 2020.
