The 24th edition of Le Petit Le Mans took place on the night of Saturday to Sunday at Road Atlanta for what was the final round in IMSA. In the main category, Mazda won the race ahead of the Cadillac of Felipe Nasr and Pipo Derani, who won the title. In the GTLM category, Weather Tech Racing took the first two positions. There Porsche #79 of Matt Campbell, Mathieu Jaminet and Cooper MacNeil beat the #97 of Kevin Estre, Michael Christensen and Frédéric Makowiecki. A double that allows Porsche to finish second in the GTLM manufacturers' championship. A “fantastic” performance according to the Australian, Matt Campbell.

“A fantastic result, a double for the team. This is what we dreamed of, and that dream has come true today. The two cars worked together throughout the race. To get such a result, a photo finish, is fantastic for WeatherTech and a great end to the year and the very last race for GTLM.”

A joy shared by Kevin Estre, at the wheel of the No. 97 Porsche and who finished in second position.

“It was a great race, really. We had the pace, but it was very difficult to overtake the BMW and the Corvette. We did it a little bit on the track and the last move was in the pits with a different strategy from the Corvette because it was difficult on the track. This race must not be abandoned, it is an important race. I'm really, really happy for the WeatherTech and Proton team, as well as Porsche, to have achieved this result. The last one for the 911 RSR.”
