19 points behind the #10 Konica Minolta Acura DPi of Filipe Albuquerque and Ricky Taylor, accompanied by Alexander Red for this last round of the season, Pipo Derani and Felipe Nasr hope to win the title IMSA on the Road Atlanta track this Saturday, November 13 at the wheel of the No. 31 Whelen Engineering Racing Cadillac DPi. The Brazilian duo will be joined this weekend by the recent double World Champion of WEC, Mike conway. “I'm really excited about the last race at Petit Le Mans with a real chance of winning this championship, Derani said. We have won this race in the past, so the car is going to be very competitive. We look forward to this race because it is one of the most fun tracks to drive. It's really fast. The race is going to start at noon and we're going to have a lot of night [driving] this year. It will be a very interesting race with a championship at stake. We want to win the race. We leave with this state of mind. We have won the last three races out of four. If we win the race, it will guarantee us the championship. Hopefully it will be a good weekend. We are proud to approach the last race with a real chance to fight for this Championship, especially after a difficult start to the season. »

“It's November and it's the last race of the year, it went by so quickly, Nasr believes. It's a special race considering the whole scenario we're looking at to be in contention for the championship. The entire Action Express Racing team has had a fantastic race so far. I'm really looking forward to being back at Road Atlanta for the 10 hour race. It's always exciting to race there. The track is unique, old-school in style, and has a great flow. We can certainly expect the challenges that having 43 cars on track will bring. It will be great for the fans. We won the title there in 2018, taking pole and winning the race in 2019. We know what to do there to win. Having Mike Conway back with us is great, I think we are ready to start the weekend and go for the win. We need to control the things we can control, stay out of trouble and things will take care of themselves. The Action Express team always gives us a car that can win. »
