Ryan Hunter-Reay completes the list at Daytona

Ryan Hunter-Reay will contest the start of the 24 Hours of Dayona for the seventh consecutive time at the end of the month, with Wayne Taylor Racing having announced the entry of the reigning champion of theIndyCar Series in the No. 10 Corvette DP alongside Jordan Taylor and Max Angelelli. The American finished in tenth place last year at the wheel of a Starworks Motorsport Ford-Riley where he competed with his compatriots Marco Andretti, Scott Mayer and Canadian Michael Valiante. His best result at the 24 Hours of Dayona remains a third place in 2010 with a BMW-Riley that he shared with Richard Westbrook, Scott Tucker and Lucas Luhr.

“I am very happy to join Wayne Taylor Racing for the 24 2013 Hours of Daytona”, commented Ryan Hunter-Reay. “I look forward to driving for Wayne again and working with the team that propelled my career in 2006. After winning the 2012 IndyCar Championship with Team Chevy, I am excited to be a part of the biggest race in US endurance with Chevrolet. This will be my seventh participation in the Rolex 24 and I have already come close to victory by getting on the podium. Joining this team and driving a Corvette DP alongside Max Angelelli and Jordan Taylor should give me the best opportunity yet to go for an overall victory. »
