Sébastien, what are your feelings after this pole position?
We have really had a powerful car since the start of the meeting. I did the first lap calmly, and I saw that I had done 1:45, but I was never able to do another lap like that afterwards, because I was losing the rear very quickly. Some sectors were a little better, but we will have to hold the tires on the long stints. We didn't expect the car to be that fast.
How do you explain that the car is so good?
All urban and bumpy tracks like Sebring benefit the Cadillac. Because it is a car that is less sensitive to variation in height compared to the Acura which requires you to drive flat and stay on the ground. Which is still difficult to do here. To summarize, it's more flexible and really suited to these kinds of conditions. This is why we must capitalize on our advantage here.
Are you worried about traffic for the race?
It's obviously much more difficult to manage in terms of traffic, because it's much narrower and bumpy. It's not Daytona where you spend more than half your time attacking cars more easily on the oval. Here, things often turn around and there are a lot of uncertainties. There, we will find ourselves with a pack of 28 cars in GT where we had GTLM and GT3 before. This is difficult to achieve and we necessarily have to take more risks.
