The Rahal Letterman Lanigan (RLL) team enters two BMW M3s in the GTE Pro category at the 12 Hours of Sebring. The Bavarian firm intends to win the bet.

Sebring: BMW aims for victory

Two BMW M3s will be entered in the GTE Pro category at the 12 Hours of Sebring, entrusted to the Rahal Letterman Lanigan (RLL) team. The Bavarian firm hopes to do better than last year, when the RLL team took the second and third steps of the podium.

The #55 BMW will be entrusted to the trio Dirk Werner, Bill Auberlen and Augusto Farfus. After his recent victory at the 24 Hours of Dubai, the Brazilian driver wants to obtain a good result this weekend in Florida. “It’s great to get back behind the wheel of the BMW M3, confides Augusto Farfus. My season started well with a victory at the 24 Hours of Dubai. Now it’s time to get the ball rolling in ALMS and ILMC. We have a great team, great drivers and a great car, so I hope we can get a great result at Sebring. I can't wait to drive in the United States. Sebring has a long tradition and fans are enthusiastic. »

The second RLL car will be driven by Dirk Müller, Joey Hand and Andy Priaulx. “I?m really looking forward to starting my season with BMW, explains the latter. This year will be a new challenge for me. I'm coming to Sebring with really different goals than last year, where I just wanted to collect data. Now we are fighting together for points in ALMS and ILMC as one big team. Sebring is a bumpy and narrow circuit. It?s not like every modern race track, but I really like it. He has a lot of character. »
