Sebring – Audi n°1 and Corvette n°4 at the end of the suspense

For twelve hours, the outcome of this race was most uncertain. If victory was promised to Audi, it remained to be seen which team would win. And until the last minutes, it was impossible to know the identity of the winners. Finally, thanks to a well-run race, Benoît Tréluyer, Marcel Fässler and Oliver Jarvis took the lead by just seven seconds.

The three men added their names to the winners of the Florida event for the first time in their careers. Jarvis gleans his first proto victory there and Tréluyer his first on American soil.

On the third step of the podium, we find the #12 Lola B60/12 from Rebellion Racing. Nicholas Cheers, Neel Jani and Nick Heidfeld played a score without the slightest false note. Podium, first ALMS competitor to finish, the Swiss team could not have dreamed of a better result.

Registered late, Level 5 Motorsports should not regret having made the trip. Scott Tucker's team takes the double, with the HPD ARX-03b n°551 of Ryan Briscoe-Marino Franchitti-Scott Tucker ahead of the n°552 of simon pagenaud-Ryan Hunter Reay-Scott Tucker.

The GT battle was epic until the end. And finally, despite various setbacks that caused it to fall in the standings, the No. 6 Corvette C1 ZR4 regained at the end of the race the place it had at the start, namely first. An hour before the finish, success seemed promised to the Ferrari Risi Competizione of Gianmaria Bruni-Olivier Beretta-Matteo Malucelli, finally second.

L’Oreca 09 FLM PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports de Ostella-Guasch-David Cheng l’emporte en LM PC et la Porsche 911 GT3 Cup TRG Alex Job Racing de J. Bleekemolen-MacNeil-Von Moltke fait de même en GTC.

To see the majority of competitors present this weekend, we will now have to wait for the second round of the ALMS, in Long Beach, on April 20. A week before, Rebellion Racing, Audi Sport Team Joest or even Aston Martin Racing and Greaves Motorsport will have met for the 6 Hours of Silverstone, opening round of the world championshipEndurance FIA WEC.
