Team WRT returns to the 24 Hours of Daytona

We recently asked the question Mirko Bortolotti (see Ah n°2246): was he going to defend his title at the 24 Hours of Daytona in GTD, after his move from Lamborghini Squadra Corse to Audi Sport?

The Italian was unable to answer us at the time of our question, but this will ultimately be the case since the 2017 Blancpain GT Series champion will be at the start of the opening round of theIMSA 2020 (January 25-26) at the wheel of an R8 LMS GT3 Evo from WRT Speedstar Audi Sport.

The double winner of the “Rolex 24 Hours” in the GTD category will find for the occasion Rolf Ineichen, also entered with Grasser Racing Team during the Austrian team's last two victorious outings in Florida, as well as the Canadian Daniel morad, lauréat des 24 Heures de Daytona en 2017 (avec Porsche et Alegra Motorsports).

This trio will be supported by one of the finest triggers in GT3, the Belgian Dries Vanthoor, a regular with Vincent Vosse's team on the GT World Challenge Europe scene.

Note that the livery of the No. 8 Audi R3 LMS GT88 Evo will be chosen following a fan vote, between the following two possibilities:
