Trackhouse Racing arrives at Daytona with a dream lineup

This is quite an announcement made by Trackhouse Racing this Thursday, December 12. The team co-owned by Justin Marks and rapper Pitbull, the team known for its commitment to NASCAR and more recently in MotoGP, will participate in the 24 Hours of Daytona in collaboration with TF Sport in the GTD Pro category with a Corvette Z06 GT3.R. The four drivers of this slightly crazy project have also been announced and not the least: Shane van Gisbergen (35 years old), triple Supercars champion (2016, 2021, 2022), Scott McLaughlin (31 years old), also triple Supercars champion (2018, 2019, 2020) and poleman of the Indy 500 this year, the young Connor Zilisch (18 years old), defending champion of the 24 Hours of Daytona in the LM P2 category, as well as Ben Keating, double winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in GTE Am (2022, 2023).  

« Participating in the 24 Hours of Daytona has been a dream since the creation of Trackhouse Racing, said Trackhouse owner and founder Justin Marks, winner of the 24 Daytona 2009 Hours in the GT class. We wanted to make sure that we could participate with a top partner, Chevrolet and TF Sport, as well as with a group of drivers who could fight for the victory. We believe we can fight for the trophy. »

Trackhouse Racing wants to grow internationally

I’m confident we have a real shot at winning a Rolex with this team. Shane and I have a lot of racing experience, including as teammates. He’s one of the best drivers I’ve ever raced, so it’ll be great to be back with him at Daytona. Connor is a young star who’s going to be around for a long time, and Ben has won Le Mans and a world championship in a Corvette. We’re going to have a blast.” »

This quartet will be one of the great curiosities of the next edition of the 24 Hours of Daytona, which will take place on January 25 and 26, 2025.
