Shock trio at Flying Lizard in Sebring

Inaugural round of the new world championshipEndurance FIA, the 12 Hours of Sebring will also open the 2012 season of the American Le Mans Series. The field therefore promises to be very substantial, and of very high quality, particularly in GT. After losing his ALMS crown to BMW, Porsche wants to get his property back, and start the year in the best possible way in Florida on March 17. Thus, the 997 GT3 RSR n°45 of Flying Lizard Motorsport will see three official drivers of the German brand take turns, the two regular drivers, the German Jörg Bergmeister and the American Patrick Long, receiving reinforcement from the German Marco Holzer , who will subsequently resume his place on the No. 44 alongside Seth Neiman. At Sebring, the latter will be supported by Darren Law and Andy Lally.

“Marco Holzer has proven to be a driver of great consistency, underlines Thomas Blam, head of strategy for the team. He contributed significantly to our 2011 program. He will be a strong reinforcement for Jörg and Patrick on the No. 45 at Sebring. On the No. 44, we will have a 100% American crew with Seth, Darren and Andy. This will be Andy’s first time riding for the Lizards”. As a reminder, Jörg Bergmeister has five ALMS crowns to his name, and Patrick Long three. However, in March they will tackle an arduous task, the last success of Porsche in GT on the Florida clock dating back to 2008. A success already signed… Flying Lizard Motorsport and Jörg Bergmeister.
