Tristan Vautier with Action Express Racing at Petit Le Mans

Tristan Vautier will finally be there at Road Atlanta (Georgia) this weekend for Petit Le Mans, final of theIMSA 2018. Engaged at the start of the season with Spirit of Daytona, the Frenchman saw his program end prematurely, the structure being in financial difficulty.

Vautier will finally bounce back at Action Express Racing by replacing at short notice João Barbosa, injured in his ribs, in the No. 5 Cadillac DPi-VR, and will support Filipe Albuquerque and Christian Fittipaldi. The old pilot IndyCar Action Express Racing will be able to benefit from its experience with the Cadillac prototype, which it notably took to pole position at Sebring earlier in the year.

“I am grateful to Troy (Flis, owner of Spirit of Daytona Racing) for allowing me to make this happen, and to the Mustang Sampling / Action Express Racing team for trusting me with this role because it is a great responsibility for theEndurance cup, comments Vautier. Hopefully the experience I have in the Cadillac prototype will help us achieve the result we are looking for. »

Christian Fittipaldi and Filipe Albuquerque remain in the running to win the Endurance Cup title, after winning the 24 Hours of Daytona last January.
