Tristan Vautier joins JDC-Miller for 2019

Just crowned with his Intercontinental GT Challenge title, Tristan Vautier secured a major program in IMSA for the 2019 season. Already seen at the wheel of a Cadillac DPi-VR this year, under the banner of the Spirit of Daytona, the adventure having unfortunately ended, the Frenchman will find the Cadillac, within JDC-Miller Motorsports.

A return to his roots for the Grenoblois, winner of the Star Mazda championship in 2011 with JDC Motorsports. Vautier will be supported throughout the year by Misha Goikhberg on No. 85, the tandem being joined by Rubens Barrichello and Devlin DeFrancesco for the 24 Hours of Daytona next January.

On the other three endurance events in the series (Sebring, Watkins Glen, Petit Le Mans), the Vautier – Goikhberg duo will be supported by the Colombian Juan Piedrahita, also passed by JDC Motorsports in the Road to Indy.

“It's funny because over the last four years, every time we passed each other in the paddock, the two Johns (John Church and John Miller), Matthias and I, we were always joking about when we could running together again, and now here we are, recalls Vautier.

I'm impressed with the steps the team has been able to take since their sports car debut in LMPC, and I'm really optimistic about our chances of doing well. ". JDC-Miller won the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen overall this year.

JDC-Miller Motorsports will enter another Cadillac DPi-VR all year round in IMSA, flanked by the No. 84 and entrusted for all events to team regulars Stephen Simpson and Simon Trummer, which evolved separately on the Oreca 07 – Gibson in 2018.

Simpson and Trummer will be joined by Chris Miller in the four endurance races, Juan Piedrahita coming as reinforcement at Daytona.
