The fourth round of the seasonIMSA did not turn out in the right direction for Gradient Racing. After complicated qualifying, Sheena Monk only started from 14th place in GTD at the wheel of Gradient Racing's green and white Acura NSX GT3. The American driver's race took a bad turn from the 6th turn when she spun. After long repairs behind in the paddock, the Japanese brand's car was finally able to return to the track to finish 13th in the Californian event.

« It's unfortunate to leave a race like this when we had a car we could be competitive with, testifies Sheena Monk after the race. I didn't have the best qualifying, so we knew we were starting at the back of the pack, but contact on the first lap put us out of position to fight for anything. The guys at Gradient Racing did a great job getting our JG Wentworth Acura NSX back up and running so we could get some laps in and score some points. The car was strong even after the contact, so it's definitely a blow when you think about what could have happened. »

The women's duo of Katherine Legge and Sheena Monk will aim for a better result at Watkins Glen (June 22-25).
