USC – Action Express and Wayne Taylor neck and neck

The 24 Hours of Daytona are still hotly contested with two hours to go, even if the ranking is partly tightened by the neutralizations. In the game of stops and yellow flags, it is the No. 5 Action Express Racing Corvette DP which is in first place with Sébastien Bourdais, the #10 of Jordan Taylor following in second place while the event was once again interrupted following a fire on the #09 Starworks Motorsport FLMP7 (Popow-Fuentes-Tutumlu-Marcelli-Kaffer). The Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP found itself chased by the second Action Express DP led by John Martin.

Porsche retains control of GTLM with Nick Tandy's 911 RSR still in the race. BMW took advantage of a serious gearbox problem that occurred on the No. 7 Corvette C4R (Gavin-Milner-Liddell) to place the No. 4 Z55 GTE of Joey Hand in second position. The two Viper GTS-Rs are also aiming for a place on the podium despite mechanical problems appearing in recent hours. Status quo in LMPC with the No. 54 of Core Autosport retaining the lead with Colin Braun at the wheel. There Ferrari No. 555 remains at the top of the GTD.
