USC – Action Express Racing wins in Detroit

Eric Curran and Dane Cameron took victory on the Belle Isle street circuit in Detroit (Michigan). Dane Cameron took the lead at the end of the race driven by the arrival of a heavy downpour which notably trapped Joao Barbosa in the sister car n°5 which started from pole. The Corvette DP of Barbosa-Fittipaldi finally completed the podium behind the Michael Shank Racing Ligier JS P2 of John Pew and Oswaldo Negri Jr.

Renger van der Zande and Mirco Schultis won in LMPC in the #8 Starworks Motorsport.

En GTD, la victoire est revenue à la Porsche n°23 de Ian James et Mario Farnbacher engagée par Alex Job Racing. Un carambolage impliquant plusieurs voitures de la catégorie. Le Belge Jan Haylen, pilote de la Porsche n°58 du Wright Motorsports, a été conduit au centre médical pour des examens. Les GTLM n’ont pas été alignées sur cette course.
