USC – Ganassi announces its drivers for Daytona

Both Riley-Ford DP of Team Ganassi will be counted among the cars to follow on January 24 and 25 in Florida, for the opening of the United Sportscar Championship at the 24 Hours of Daytona. Chip Ganassi put all the chances on his side to try to return to the Victory Lane of the American double clock, after having left the victory in 2013 to the Action Express Racing of the trio Bourdais-Barbosa-Fittipaldi.

No. 01 will obviously be entrusted to the starting duo for the entire season in USC Scott Pruett and Joey Hand, recently confirmed. They will be assisted by two pilots fromIndyCar, the Anglo-American Charlie kimball, 29, who drove Ganassi's #12 DW83 in 2014, and by the young American Sage karam, 19 years old, 2013 Indy Lights champion, and seen at the Indianapolis 500 last May.

The second Riley-Ford will be driven by a quartet of IndyCar champions Scott Dixon and Tony Kanaan, joined by the duo of the American team in NASCAR, Kyle Larson, 22, and Jamie McMurray, 38. Something to delight owner Chip Ganassi. “I like this race because it is one of the rare times where we are able to bring together all of our drivers and our partners in a race. The NASCAR, IndyCar and IMSA are all represented in this unique endurance event. We were fortunate to have had success at this event, the result of hard work from the team, talent behind the wheel and a bit of luck. »
