USC – Justin Wilson with Michael Shank Racing for Sebring

Justin Wilson and Michael Shank Racing are an association that has already shone in the past. Back two seasons ago in 2012. Wilson associated with Allmendinger, Negri and Pew won the 24 hours of Daytona. The pilot IndyCar will therefore return to a team with which he has already enjoyed success, for the second round of the 2014 United SportsCar Championship.

“We are happy that the schedule allows us to have Justin back, not only for the race, but also for the test next week”
, said team owner Mike Shank. “Having the 12 hours from Sebring to our program is fantastic and we are very excited. We also know that the race will be very tough, so having a line-up like ours will be key for us. Our goal is to improve with each outing. »

“It’s exciting to come back and race for Mike Shank once again. » Wilson explains. “The 12 Hours is a huge event, and I'm really looking forward to it. I had a lot of fun racing the short events last year in the Daytona Prototype. It's always natural when I come to race for this team, the guys do a very good job. We have a bit of a feeling of unfinished business after Daytona and I can't wait to get to work for Sebring. »

Wilson will drive before the 12h of Sebring on the Florida track during IndyCar pre-season testing. Enough to arrive with confidence for the 12 hours where he will team up with John Pew and Ozz Negri.
