USCC – Action Express in the lead at Daytona testing

Christian Fittipaldi set the best time on the first day of testing for the Roar before the Rolex 24 at Daytona. Sébastien's teammate Bourdais and Joao Barbosa completed a lap in 1'38"630 at the wheel of the No. 5 Corvette DP in particularly cool conditions. The Corvette DPs were the fastest of the five models entered as they finished first in the first session, while three of them dominated the second where the best time was set by the #90 Spirit of Daytona driven by Mike Rockenfeller, Richard Westbrook and Michael Valiante.

Extreme Speed ​​Motorsports set the best LMP2 time, but the #03 HPD ARX-1b of Scott Sharp, Ryan Dalziel and David Brabham failed to break the 1'40 mark.
