USCC – The Flying Lizard goes from Porsche to Audi

The Flying Lizard surprised by announcing that it was giving up Porsche for Audi as it enters the inaugural USCC season where it will celebrate its first decade. The Californian team will enter two R8 LMS, keeping the No. 45 and adding the No. 35 which will replace the No. 44 but will announce the crews at a later date. The Flying Lizard won two Team titles in GT (2008 and 2009) and one in GTC this season, to which are added three crowns in the Drivers' Championship in GT from 2008 to 2010, all in ten years of presence in ALMS.

“(Audi’s) success with their prototypes and the potential of the R8 LMS perfectly suits our experience and success in GT”, commented Thomas Blam, the Flying Lizard's director of strategy. “While we have a lot to learn from this car and the GTD class in USCC, our initial evaluations tell us that we will be in a position to challenge for victory immediately and should be competitive. This is obviously our priority objective. The car has undeniable potential and we can't wait to get started. »

Flying Lizard Motorsports will participate in testing at Sebring on November 16-17 and at Daytona on November 19-20.
