USCC – New chassis for Spirit of Daytona Racing Team

Less than a month after spectacular accident of Richard Westbrook During a test on the Daytona circuit, the Spirit of Daytona Racing team had the pleasant surprise of receiving a new chassis from Coyote in a very short time.

“We had our accident on Tuesday and we were expecting to receive a new Coyote on Monday but they did even better by delivering it to us on Friday, rejoiced Troy Flis, the team?s owner. This chassis is numbered 007, so we hope it brings us luck. It will help us greatly to be able to work on the new chassis before the next tests. »

The Daytona-based outfit, which made its debut with the Chevrolet Corvette DP in late 2011, is still working closely with Continental to seek to explain the reasons for the accident it suffered as revealed Flis.

“Everyone is working hard to find out as quickly as possible what happened so that we can prevent a similar mishap from happening again. »

The Spirit of Daytona Racing will participate in the entire USCC championship in 2014, again with the No. 90 Chevrolet Corvette DP.
