USCC – RSR Racing unveils its crews

The first round of the 2014 USCC is fast approaching with the 24h of Daytona on January 25 and 26. RSR Racing, owned by owner and driver Paul Gentilozzi, has just revealed its crews for the coming season, which will run on ORECA FLM09s powered by a Chevrolet engine and which will be entered in the Prototype Challenge category. Bruno Junqueira, former pilot IndyCar, will team up with Duncan Ende on the No. 9, supported by Gustavo Menezes, also entered in F3 in 2014 and David Heinemeier on endurance races. The other car, number 8, will be in the hands of Chris Cumming and Alex Tagliani. Conor Daly, GP3 driver last year, and Rusty Mitchell will join them on the long events.

“As a sports car owner and driver, the legendary race to win remains the 24 Hours of Daytona”, said Paul Gentilozzi. “Winning marks your career forever. It is the ultimate test of preparation, of strategy. Our goal is simply to win again. » explains RSR boss, who won the Florida race as a driver in 1994

“I'm excited to work with so many familiar faces like Jeff Lohman, Paul, Bruno, Conor, and John and to compete in the Daytona 24-hour race with a competitive team. » said Tagliani, IndyCar driver in 2013 and one time tipped to replace Dario Franchitti for Chip Ganassi in the car sponsored by Target. “I contacted Bruno by email. We are good friends and I am looking forward to working with him again and hopefully we can have a good result for the team. »

Conor Daly will make his debut on the Florida track. “I appreciate the opportunity that RSR Racing has given me and look forward to working with the team. It will be a completely new experience for me and I am ready to work with the team and learn from the guys around to progress quickly. »
